CAST FILM

The production chain for flat films, or film plates or cast films, makes it possible to transform the flow of the melted polymer in a flat form straight section.

The melted polymer coming out of the terminal end of the head of the extruder is still not the finished product but a primary film that, in the still fluid state, is poured on a chill roll.

The pouring process, under micrometric control, enables the crystallization of the melted polymer.

The entire process is controlled with software that monitors and controls all the technical aspects of production.

IPM owns cutting edge facilities for running this kind of process for the production of cast film.

BLOWN FILM

Blown film is made by extruding, through an annular drawplate, a tube of material in the liquid state, which is then inflated before it becomes solidified.

The tube has a relatively small diameter and expands because the air pressure inside the tube is greater than the air pressure outside.

Through this process we obtain an increase in the diameter of the tube and the relative reduction in the thickness of the film, which cools and solidifies and folded by passing through the nip-rollers.

At the end of the manufacturing process (both cast and and blown) the material is rolled by the winding stations.

We also offer printing and welding services to produce bags of various sizes with trademarks and lettering.
